Humanizing Afghans
Join the UIC College of Education for a series of online presentations with youth of the Afghan diaspora from the Chicago-land area. These three part humanizing sessions centers around diverse lived experiences and understanding of being Afghan. Sayeda, Asma, Masooma, and Ayesha are all co-founders of Chicago for Afghans, a group that organized two community protests downtown this summer to raise awareness on the current crisis. All four speakers share diverse ethnic backgrounds: Hazara, Tajik, Pashtun, Hindkowan.
